💜 Bernadette “Bernie” Beale is the Founder and CEO of RiseUp Women’s Sports & Media, a dynamic platform dedicated to empowering, celebrating, and amplifying women’s sports through storytelling, community engagement, and authentic media coverage.
With a lifelong passion for sports and a deep commitment to representation, Bernie created RiseUp to give women athletes — from grassroots to professional — the spotlight they deserve. Her mission is to make women’s sports visible, accessible, and celebrated at every level, from high school courts to national arenas.
Under her leadership, RiseUp Women’s Sports has become a growing voice in the DMV (D.C., Maryland, Virginia)region, known for its bold “College. Pro. Community. One Region. One Rise.” approach. Through game coverage, athlete interviews, original shows, and community events, Bernie has positioned RiseUp as a movement — not just a media brand.
A creative visionary and media trailblazer, she continues to expand RiseUp into new spaces — from digital coverage and events to television and brand partnerships — all rooted in the message:
“RiseUp, Take Charge & Win.”
