Accuracy and sourcing
Our reporting aims to present accurate names, scores, quotations, and event details. Official statistics, interviews, and other sources should be identified where they support a story. Reporting, opinion, and sponsored content should be clearly distinguishable.
Dates and updates
Publication dates identify when a story was first published. Event dates are stated in the reporting when needed for context. A routine website or formatting update does not make an older event new.
Corrections
To report a possible error, email berniebeale@riseupwomenssports.com with the article link, the detail you believe is incorrect, and supporting information. We review correction requests and correct verified factual errors. Substantive corrections should include a dated note explaining the change; minor spelling and formatting fixes may be made without a separate note.
Photography, video, and quotations
Credit the photographer, videographer, interview source, or supplying organization accurately. Do not imply that supplied material is original RiseUp reporting. Editing must preserve the meaning and context of an interview or event.
Independence and sponsorship
Sponsored coverage and paid placements should be clearly labeled. Relevant relationships or conflicts should be disclosed. Media access and sponsorship do not remove the obligation to report accurately.
