American University defeated Howard University 3-0 on Sept. 8 in a nonconference women’s volleyball matchup in Washington, D.C.
The straight-set victory improves American to 4-3 on the season, while Howard falls to 0-6.
The meeting was the 43rd matchup between the two programs. Howard entered the contest having won three of the previous five meetings, including a sweep of American last season.
