Washington, D.C. — The Washington Mystics continued their surge with a 79–74 victory over the Atlanta Dream, extending their winning streak to six games and tying the second-longest single-season winning streak in franchise history.
Washington is now 4–0 since returning from the All-Star break and secured the 2026 season series against Atlanta, 2–1 — the Mystics’ first series victory over the Dream since 2022.
Defense helped set the tone as Washington established a franchise record with 12 blocked shots, the highest single-game total in the WNBA this season.
Shakira Austin led the Mystics with 21 points on 7-of-11 shooting, 11 rebounds and five blocks, tying her career high. Austin recorded her 13th double-double of the season and extended her streak of games with at least 20 points and 10 rebounds to three.
Kiki Iriafen added 15 points, seven rebounds, five assists and two steals, while rookie Lauren Betts grabbed a career-high 11 rebounds and blocked three shots. Cassandra Prosper also reached double figures with a career-high 10 points.
The win keeps Washington’s momentum rolling as the Mystics continue their push through the second half of the season.
