DC Power FC earned an important point at Audi Field with a 1–1 draw against first-place Sporting JAX, becoming the first team this season to take points from the league leaders. After a scoreless first half, DC broke through in the 59th minute. Kayla Colbert’s shot took a deflection and fell into the path of Claire Constant, who finished the opportunity to give Power FC a 1–0 advantage.
Sporting JAX responded just minutes later. Maggie Illig found the equalizer to bring the match level at 1–1, setting up a competitive finish as both teams pushed for a winner.
Neither side was able to find another goal, and DC walked away with a point against the top team in the Gainbridge Super League standings.
The draw keeps DC Power FC in second place with seven points and marks another strong result as the club continues to establish itself near the top of the table.
For DC, the result carried added significance: Sporting JAX entered the match without dropping points this season. Power FC became the first opponent to change that, earning a valuable result on its home field at Audi Field.
