The Washington Mystics controlled the boards and placed all five starters in double figures, but the Minnesota Lynx earned a 94–84 victory.
Washington outrebounded Minnesota 36–26, marking the 33rd time the Mystics have won the rebounding battle this season. That ties the 2025 Atlanta Dream for the most such games in a single WNBA season.
The Mystics also recorded their 16th game with a rebound differential of plus-10 or better, tied with the 2023 Dallas Wings for the second-most in league history. Only the 2022 Connecticut Sun had more, with 17.
Kiki Iriafen led Washington with 19 points, a game-high 13 rebounds and two blocks. It was her 16th double-double of the season and her third consecutive game with at least 15 points and five rebounds—the longest such streak of her career.
Shakira Austin added 17 points, eight rebounds and six assists while shooting 7-of-13 from the field. Michaela Onyenwere scored 14 points, Sonia Citron contributed 11 points and five assists, and Georgia Amoore finished with 10 points, five rebounds and five assists.
Amoore’s performance was the first 10-point, five-rebound and five-assist game of her career. She also recorded at least five assists without a turnover for the second time this season.
Washington distributed 21 assists—its 17th game with at least 20 this year. Austin, Citron and Amoore became the first trio of Mystics starters since July 2024 to each record at least 10 points and five assists.
For the fourth time this season, all five Washington starters scored in double figures. That ties the franchise record established in 2006.
Despite the final score, Washington’s rebounding, balanced scoring and ball movement offered several encouraging signs as the regular season continues.
