The Washington Spirit drew 3,000 fans to George Mason University on Sunday, June 21, 2026, for an open training session that brought supporters closer to the team.
Fans filled the bleachers and gathered along the fence, with Spirit gear and handmade signs adding color to the crowd. The turnout gave a training day a lively backdrop as supporters watched the players and staff on the field.

RiseUp Women’s Sports was on site to photograph the session, capturing both the crowd and the team. The images show players greeting supporters near the sideline and players and staff exchanging high-fives on the grass.
The open session offered a different view of the Spirit from a match at Audi Field: a chance to watch the team in a training setting and share in the moments around the work on the field.

With 3,000 supporters in attendance, the gathering reflected the community’s interest in the Spirit beyond matchday.
